character designs

A character design sheet, this character was meant to be part of a comic about my experiences during the pandemic, I developed a iconographic moodboard (below) honing in on more web-based visuals.

A-LEVEL work.

During my Sculpture A-Level, one of my projects was “Structural Forms”, I decided to look at spirals that occur in nature. I started by drawing different shells and sea creatures. My final outcome was a series of clay spirals sequentially unfurling. Most of my sculpture projects had some element of movement in them.
One of the pieces I made for my final Sculpture project at A-Level. The project’s theme was drowning, and I explored this through different series of hands. This series was on a miniature scale, measuring roughly two inches in height.
A 30 minute lighting study from this sculpture project.
For my final piece, I wanted to create a series of clear resin hands. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I was unable to complete this, so I instead created this piece of concept art.
A digital charcoal study based on a collage.
Digital final painting from another project based on the relationship between religion & light.

Illustration and printmaking Foundation work

For this project, I was asked to create a 10x 148cm concertina book with nine panels. The book had to depict a story, fictional or not, that flowed from panel to panel. The final piece is a two-layer screen printed depiction of a dating story from when I was 14.
Early planning and mood-board from another foundation project. We had to create a 30 second- 3 minute long animation about a popular legend or myth, I chose the Greek legend of Medusa. Clips from this project are included below in my showreel.

Nightmares

My final project for my foundation course was titled “Nightmares”. Above is a movie poster I created as ‘promotional material’ for my final piece which was a minute long animation.
Character design for Nanou, the character form my final piece for this project.
